I am registered with The Royal College of Physicians for Continuous Professional Development; I exceed the minimum annual credit requirements every year.

I undertake regular audits of my clinical practice including: use of mercaptopurine, methotrexate and biologics in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease; safety of sedation in endoscopy and quality assurance in colonoscopy (completion rates, polyp detection & complications). I am lead colonoscopist for the South Devon Bowel Cancer Screening Centre at the Derriford site and my performance is nationally scrutinised.

In addition to teaching medical undergraduates from the Peninsula Medical School, I am an Academic Tutor for undergraduates. I am also an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for Foundation, Core Medical and Specialist Trainees at Derriford Hospital. I am College Tutor.

I teach on the accredited endoscopy courses at South West Regional Endoscopy training Centre. I am a Faculty member.
